In Sickness and In Health

For the past week I've had the unfortunate luck of having an unwelcome cold. Luckily, I think it's on it's way out seeing as it has outstayed it's welcome. Now a cold isn't something new to me-- I work in childcare... but this is the first time it's cause a part of my body to possibly have some sort of allergic reaction and swell up. (I've made a doctors appointment so don't worry!) (Hopefully I'm not dying!)
My upper lip is swollen in the picture. Lucky you, you get to see it!

Over the course of the week I've managed to stay indoors, on the coach, for about 4 days straight, aside from a fun trip to urgent care and CVS to get some anti-inflammatory meds. (They gave me the goods stuff.. and by good I mean the stuff that makes you drowsy so people have to do things for you!) Always looking at the positive. I watched the whole first season of Broadchurch and finished season 3 of Friends. Overall, I'd say it was a pretty productive week. Big ups to Netflix!

Being sick also made me appreciate my gym membership. This is one of the few times I've actually craved going to the gym, and that's only because I did not have the choice of being able to go. Funny. I think I'm going to really amp up my vitamin intake as well. I'm going to get on that juicing and smoothie making craze.

On the plus side, it's snowed this week. It was only like 2 inches or something but the television made it out to be 12-24" so school was cancelled Monday and Tuesday! God Bless America. You'll never hear or read those words come out of my mouth ever again so savor it...

Today was my first day back at work- in the real world, AAHHHHH... It wasn't too terrible. Though I did wake up at 2am to find my bottom lip all swollen up so that was the opposite of fun. Also I had trouble starting my car this morning which was extra nice!! But I got to work and played with babies all morning and everyone knows it's hard to be sad around babies! (Plus we watched the Aristocats.) Overall I was really glad to be back and work and back doing things rather then be sitting and moping around the house all day. Not my sitting and moping is limited to the afternoon and evening. ;P

From September 2012 to December 2013 and so on.

Let me point you in the right direction.

I posted this drawing February 13, 2013. That's almost two years ago and in the span of time, so much has changed. (Both good a bad.) As of right now this is the only post on this ol' blog of mine. But, there were about 14 others which I've since posting them, deleted. From September of 2012 up until December 2013 I was an art student studying photography. I went to a small- very, very, VERY, small, all women's art college, in Philadelphia. College is something that it a huge decision and it is something I wish I would have took into more consideration whilst first applying.

The things I've come to realize though, during my last semester in school during 2013, was that I wasn't stuck like I thought I was. Nothing is concrete, and set in stone. If along the way of discovering and making a decision in what you want to do, it may not go the way you envision it will. (And that's okay.)

I'm not where I want to be exactly but I'm headed there...
